Kids and Grown Ups Love it So ...

The happy land of Haribo! Me lovess Haribo gummy bears. I was introduced to it in college by a friend whose bf was German. Enjoying some now since it's Halloween and what better reason to snack on all kinds of sugar-coma inducing candy? Today I've had candy corn, M&Ms, Jr. Caramels, Smarties, and Haribo of course. Feeling kinda ill now. No thanks to those darned over zealous people at work who bring in candy to 'celebrate'. BLEH OK fine they didn't force me to eat it ... but still ... :(

The one candy I missed from the USA is Butterfingers!

Yeah, I have seen it once or twice in some specialty supermarket and NTUC once. However, I think the candy is just unpopular here, hence, the importers just don't bother.

csc> oooh butterfingers! I live on sugar and chocolates. the funny thing is you don't get british chocolates here (cadbury) like you do in sg :( but in SG you don't get all the american chocolates. weird. the taste of chocolate should be universal!

matreska .. it's better than the ones u can buy by the kilo rite? like more chewy and not so sweet.

Don't think we get the British Cadbury's here either. The ones in the supermarkets are either Australian or Malaysian. Former more expensive, latter cheaper.

I kinda stopped buying Pick-n-Mix since slightly after secondary school. Quality not quite there. It's a chewy version of Fruitgums tho. Those stick to my teeth.

went to dentist yesterday.. he's got this high-tech equipment where you can actually see your teeth enlarged on this huge lcd screen in front of you. i got a shock of my life when he focused on a tooth with cavity. i tell you, it was reeeally scary.. you can actually see those black lines on the crown of the tooth! i swore to myself i'll stay off sweets for the next few months.

we used to love those! especially the popcorn flavored ones from cold storage at holland V. oh oh and those small toast crackers.

i keep telling myself to eat less sweets and sugary stuff... maybe I should go to your dentist to scare myself hor hehe ... oh yah i just had a cholesterol test done...i'm scared to see the results. all those pockies and fatty food are not helping.

Hi Mini!

I love Haribo Too! I need my daily fix of "haribo happiness" in the winter months. If not I turn into a real grizzly bear without my gummi bears...
